1. Vaccinate your Collie and follow up with yearly booster vaccinations to maintain immunity to diseases. Ask your vet about flea and worming products.2. Brush a long-haired Collie weekly. Short-haired Collies require less frequent grooming sessions.3. Bath your dog every couple of months.

4. Check and trim nails every two to three weeks.5. Train your puppy early.6. make sure the Collie has lots of obedience training from an early age.7. Give your Collie plenty of daily exercise.

8. Be prepared to allow your Collie to become part of the family.9. Understand the health problems that Collies are prone to. Theese include: retinal atrophy, arthritis, and Collie eye- which can cause blindness.10. Get ready to enjoy a good 14-16 years with your dog...... and have fun!!!!! |
